From check-in to pick-up: every grooming visit now tells the whole story

You finish a groom, you write a report. What the owner receives is a snapshot: how the coat came out, maybe a note. Everything that happened before the dryer turned off — when the dog arrived, what the pre-check found, when the owner picked up — lives nowhere, or in your head.

That changed today. Grooming reports in PawFora now sit on top of a full visit timeline, and it takes almost no extra work.

• Run the visit from the calendar. Open the appointment and press the button for the stage you are at: Check in, Pre-check, Complete. Each press stamps the time. In a hurry? Complete visit works from the moment the appointment is confirmed, so a quick groom never gets a half-empty record.
• A timeline owners can actually read. Arrived 09:12. Pre-check filed 09:20. Completed 11:05. Checked out 11:40. The check-out time is set automatically when the invoice is settled — no extra taps, and it disappears if the invoice is ever voided.
• Before and after stay separate. What you found before the bath (skin, ears, coat condition) is recorded as a pre-check. What you report after the groom is the summary. One cannot overwrite the other, so the "before" you noticed at 9am does not get rewritten by the result at noon.
• Health checks now carry scores. Score each area 1–5 as you go. If an area checks out fine, "Healthy" fills itself in. An area you looked at but did not score stays blank — it will not pretend to be a 0 out of 5.
• Reports carry your name, not ours. The report, the email to the owner, and the customer portal all print your shop name and your contact details. It is your customer, your letterhead.
• One way to start a report. Reports are now created from the appointment itself, so every report is tied to a real visit. The standalone "new report" buttons around the app are gone.
